Grim Up North?

It's grim up north, but at least there's an amusingly named comedy festival to cheer everyone up. Sheffield's October laugh-athon, Grim Up North, is now in its fourth year and looks better than ever.

Taking place in various venues between 1st and 19th October, the festival has an impressive line up. Jimmy Carr, Dylan Moran, Michael McIntyre, Frankie Boyle, Rich Hall and the appropriately named Mark Steel are just some of the comedians hoping to squeeze every last laugh out of Sheffield.

With such a variety of performers and styles, Grim Up North is bound to have something for everyone. With summer's hangover settling in, Sheffield is the place for some restorative chuckles.
