Walkabout
We chose a fantastic day to visit Walkabout; the day England seized the Ashes back from the Aussies down under. To add to the suitability, we went just before heading to see the hotly anticipated The King's Speech, where an Australian paves the path for the words of a British King to lead his nation through a war. Did we experience gastronomic excellence? No. Is Walkabout a quirky, charming little indie bistro? Not quite. But was there exceptional value food in a vibrant, energetic atmosphere with unfailingly friendly service? Indeed there was. As the Aussies say: it was bonzer!
