Lescar, The

The favourite haunt of many a Sharrow–based student, the Lescar doesn't rely on the fact that it's great value to pull the punters in. Rather than resting on their laurels, the management make sure you're kept entertained with a variety of events through the week. Highlights are Thursday's Last Laugh Comedy Club and Planet Zogg's monthly acid–techno night. Far and away the best reason to go to the Lescar though is for the legendary Yard Social, broadcasting its lazy beat–fuelled mayhem from the beer garden every Sunday through the summer.
