Broadfield, The

Solid little boozer made even better by its big–screen TV, and good food at lunchtime makes this an ideal place to watch the match without having your pint knocked out of your hand. The Broadfield has a split personality; one half very much a pie–and–peas pub, the other leaning more towards a recovery room for clubbing casualties. Attracting a mixed bag of gurners and grandads – who can probably gurn just as well come to think of it – it's a cut above the rest, at this end of town at least.
