Pizza Express
The trouble with most chain restaurants is that they try desperately hard not to look like chain restaurants. Pizza Hut is one chain restaurant that's up front about its corporate roots and I've got to say, it's better than Pizza Express. When compared to its branches Stateside, and the infamous London jazz venues it owns, Sheffield's Pizza Express is a pretty dismal not to mention dissapointing effort. The pizzas themselves are nondescript, crunchy and tired–looking and, like good lovin', pizza is one area of life where less is never more. While the open–plan kitchen allows you to watch your meal being prepared, the novelty of watching the chef skimp on your olives soon wears as thin as the overcooked crust on your 10" pie. Could do a lot better.
