Trippet's Wine Bar
Trippett's Wine Bar, a dark Parisian smoking den, is not as well known as it should be, probably because those in the know want to keep it to themselves - but I'm going to change all that. The wine ranges from the tasty and affordable house variety right up to the expensive connoisseur stuff, with bottled beer for those who only drink lager. They regularly have live bands, mostly at weekends, playing jukebox favourites - U2, Crowded House, Rolling Stones etc - and the friendly mix of students and townies mean the Kingdom kids are nowhere in sight.
