The name Kelham Island may conjure an image of a remote Caribbean Island populated with retired priests but this dated museum is anything but exotic. Telling the story of Sheffield steel was never an easy task but doing it through Victorian–themed rooms and oversized steel girders was not the way to get kids all goggle–eyed.
