The Dog and Partridge
If you think it's hard to find a decent Irish bar in Sheffield apart from on St Patrick's Day when everyone seems to jump on the bandwagon then pay this place a visit. It's a lil' ol' Irish gem that's rumoured to sell the best Guinness in town. Established many moons ago, the place doesn't appear to have been touched since it opened. But rather than having a moth-eaten look, this just embellishes its Irish charm. Plus if you like a spot of live music, grab your fiddle and get jamming with the regulars. They probably won't thank you for it, though. And neither will the customers.
