Old Heavygate Inn
Hidden in that little time-crevice between Crookes and Wakley, this little pub feels like it's stuck in a 1949 episode of Corrie. All the locals (and every single person in there is a local, and has been for the past 50 years) flock there en masse for the quiz nights, when the landlady puts on a lovely spread, including the best bread and dripping Itchy has ever tasted in a pub (although to be honest there isn't much competition). If you want to experience Yorkshire, and you've already been to the Jorvik Centre and visited the set of Heartbeat, then you need go no further than the Old Heavygate Inn.
