The Dam House Bar and Restaurant
The Dam House overlooks Crookes Valley park and lake and has a splendid beer garden. On a hot summer day you can sit on the terrace and watch the occasional boating team take to the water. While chewing ruminatively on the cucumber from your glass of Pimms, one could take an utterly wild leap of imagination and pretend one was having a simply spiffing time at the Royal Henley Regatta, rah rah rah. The Dam House serves a jolly good selection of English, Italian and French food, which is none too cheap. Toodle-pip!
