Lyceum Theatre
The Crucible (the Lyceum's younger, better-looking sister) may get all the classy, cutting-edge performances and Shakespeare plays but every Sheffielder knows that the real fun is to be had at the Lyceum. Playing host to all the West End shows that London has already chewed up and spat out, you can find musicals, camp comedy acts and seasonal soap star-studded pantos galore in this wonderfully decadent theatre (we'll have none of this new age minimalist rubbish here, thank you very much). Who needs 'Doctor Faustus' when you can see 'Puppetry of the Penis' just next door?
