Porter Book Shop
Full to bursting with piles and piles of books, you never know what you may find in this hidden gem. Maybe an old psychology book, a first edition of your favourite novel or perhaps the remains of the old shopkeeper who has been crushed to death by a falling encyclopedia. Who knows? It's TK Maxx's literary equivalent. But that's the beauty of this place, if you have the patience, you're sure to find something. Opening hours depend on whether there is room in the shop. We go just for the smell; we still haven't quite put our finger on it and think it would be quite rude to ask.
