Menzels has been a place of mystery to the residents of Sheffield for many a year now; is it a club? A bar? A strip joint? Or maybe even all three? But those brave enough to have ventured past its slightly seedy neon blue sign will know that it is the hangout of Sheffield's Jet Set: a healthy mix of ambitious students, clean-cut yuppies, middle-aged business men and wannabe wags. The prices are little bit more London than Yorkshire, but try just one Strawberry Daiquiri and you won't even care. If you're ever struggling to drag yourself all the way into town, but are in need of more than a just a quiet drink, then give Menzels a go.
