BB's Italian Restaurant

Last time Itchy ate at BB's, we thought it was tremendous, not least because you get to take in your own wine. Our expectations were lowered by the starters, and by the main courses they were hurtling down an abyss. Olives in watery oil, garlic bread without garlic, and spaghetti vongole - our favourite pasta dish - made with anaemic, flavourless prawns. “Where are the clams?” we asked. “It's not made with clams.” “Yes, it is. Spaghetti vongole is always made with clams.” “Erm, I could get some mussels put in for you.” SIGH.

BB's is trying very hard. Sadly, as we all know from school reports, 'trying hard' doesn't necessarily translate into 'good'.
